In continuation of my Despatch No. 305 of the 11th instant, I have the honour to submit for your consideration the enclosed schedule of Public Works Extraordinary for which it seems imperative that provision should be made in the Estimates for 1903.

1. In this schedule the items chargeable to revenue have been kept as low as possible, many works considered urgent being omitted.
2. New items not yet submitted to you are:
(1.) Public Latrines and Urinals.
(2.) Praya Reclamation and Government Piers.
(3.) Cattle Depot Extension.
(4.) Bacteriological Institute.
Plans and specifications of these works will be sent to you shortly.
Item No. 2 is for a pier and slip in front of the New Harbour Office.
It is necessary to proceed with this work next year because the divers and plant used in connection with the Praya Reclamation are still available. If the work is delayed, less will be incurred by the dispersion of the Staff and the probable ...
